For those of you that read my little rant about the Cincinnati Bengals being the Bungles they are, thank you. Being the crazy sports fan like myself can be great at times but low too. When they lost on Saturday night, the whole city of Cincinnati went into a frenzy and it’s the same bull s*** we’ve dealt with the past 6 years. Now, my dad and I are huge sport fans. We absolutely love talking about sports and going to sports games. I guess that’s how we bond. But, we don’t go to Bengals games which brings up my dad and I’s theory on what the Bengals and the city of Cincinnati needs to do.
First and foremost, the GM Mike Brown needs to fire Marvin Lewis today, yesterday, tomorrow and the rest of the week. He should’ve been gone the 2nd time he lost the playoffs. He is 0-7 in postseason and lost in the playoffs for 5 straight seasons, a NFL record. Ridiculous. It is time for someone new and change needs to happen. I wouldn’t mind trading him for a high school coach to coach this team. Every time he coaches, he has a smug look on his face, never shows any emotion like he cares for the team or Cincinnati, and his play calling is ludicrous that my dad could probably coach better. Even though we cry the same message every year, it doesn’t happen. It is because that our GM Mike Brown sits behind his desk counting his money. As long as fans buy tickets to see this garbage, Brown won’t push for change. This is where the city of Cincinnati needs to step up.
Fans of the Bengals should not buy tickets to see the games. As long as you’re buying them, it’s only going to put a smile on Mike Brown’s face because he’s making money! I don’t want to hear it from fans that are angry at the Bengals and are buying tickets. You are delivering the message that says “Screw you Bengals, but I’ll come see you anyways.” This is why I’ve never bought Bengals tickets the past 8 years because it is always the same result. Why did fans have to suffer standing in the rain and snow Saturday night, see a miraculous comeback in the 4th quarter and end up losing because a jerk like Burffict couldn’t contain his anger when the game was already won? It’s sad. If fans want to see change, then STOP BUYING TICKETS! If you continue to buy tickets, nothing will change until Mike Brown passes away. I’m sorry to say it but its the God’s honest truth. I probably would’ve put up with the loss considering our history in the playoffs but it was how the way it was done that made me absolutely over with the Bengals. Mike brown can sit happy while Lewis is getting that paycheck in the future but I will no longer support the Bengals anymore until change happens.
