Hello all. I’m a little behind on the blog post challenge because of the long Memorial Day weekend and decided to spend that time with my family in the outdoors. I hope that all of you had a nice long weekend too. So, I’ll be writing a couple posts per day to catch up and what not J
So, today, I need to discuss if my zodiac sign fits my personality. First of all, I know that my sign is a Leo. Second of all, I don’t know what that means. Checking my horoscope or any type fortune telling is something I rarely do. Personally, I don’t believe in that type of stuff. It is fun to just check what the stars and planets have to say about my personal life but all of that is a bunch of crazy talk. Sometimes, when I do check, it doesn’t come close with my daily life. I’m going to google right now and find out what my sign is about.
According to astrology-zodiac-signs.com, people born under the “Leo” sign “are natural born leaders. They are dramatic, creative self-confident, dominant and extremely difficult to resist. They can achieve anything they want, whether it’s about work or time spent will family and friends. Leo is a fire sign, which means that he loves life and expects to have a good time. Like other fire signs, Sagittarius and Aries, Leo is also able to use his mind to solve even the most difficult problems and take the initiative in solving various complicated situations. Ruled by the Sun, Leo worships the Sun in all is forms which is also a metaphorical expression of the state of his ego. This can be good, because Leos can easily search for what they need. But, on the other hand it can be problematic when Leos ignore the problems and needs of others in order to fulfill their desires. Leo has a specific strength and “king of the jungle” status. Leo often has too many friends because he is very generous and loyal. Self-confident and attractive, Leo is able to unite many groups of people at every opportunity. Problems can arise, when Leo becomes too fond of his achievements. This zodiac sign can also be arrogant, lazy and inflexible, because he assumes that someone else will clean up after him. A healthy sense of humor can make the collaboration with other people, easier.”
This is really interesting because this full length description of the Leo almost fits my personality. Almost. I don’t really think I’m a natural born leader, I consider myself a follower before I become a leader. I admit, that I love to lead. I was section leader for my high school and college marching bands. I’ve led small study groups before in classes and been a leader for my church praise band. It’s a slow but surely process before I lead anything. It takes me a while to understand the material and topic before I lead a group. “Achieving anything I want” is a little bit overboard. I know that I can do anything if I put my mind to it but sometimes, I always see myself being lazy at times if I want to achieve something. Like I said, it takes time for me to achieve anything. Moments of focus and drive occur every once and a while.
I do like to have a good time, with both family and friends. I make time whenever I want to see them. I don’t see myself having a “king of the jungle” status. I don’t have much friends because there’s just a select few that I trust whole heartedly. Hopefully, my friends does describe me as loyal and generous because I like to describe myself as that type of person. I do see myself as lazy, like I said before but I hope people don’t see me as arrogant. I don’t like to see that kind of trait in people. I like to think that I have a good sense of humor but that’s just me.
This zodiac sign almost describes who I am. Apparently, anyone who is a Leo has a very strong sense of who he is and is very determined and a strong work ethic and drive. I do have those values in me but willing to take initiative and be carefree is something that I am not there yet.
