If you’ve ready any of my personal posts, I sometimes say “I’m blessed.” Religion is definitely a part of who I am today. I was raised in a Methodist church ever since I was a baby. This post is by no way of any means to recruit you to believe what I believe. I understand that there are many religions in the world and I respect everyone who practices other religions. But, like this challenge says, this article shows what I believe in.
Religion, I believe, should be something everyone should take part of at least once in their life. Whether it’s Christianity, Judaism, or Buddhism, take part. Now, I have no knowledge of Judaism or Buddhism and their practices because I don’t believe in those practices. But, all religions believe in some sort of higher power and that power will bring self-healing and blessings around you. For me, Christianity is a big part in my life and I whole heartedly believe that Jesus Christ came down to this earth to die for my sins. That’s what I mean when I say, “I’m blessed.”
Yes, I’ll admit that there have been struggles with God and my relationship with him. I understand that most of the population have their doubts in him or believe he doesn’t exist. Everyone asks, “Why me, God?” The bottom line is, everything happens for a reason. I know I’m straying from the basis of religion to Christianity but Christianity is my religion and I’m sharing my views on it. I do read the bible on a daily basis and there is scripture that I relate to in my daily life. It helps and reassures me that Jesus does have a grand plan for me and all that bad/negative that happens are all bumps on the road to that plan. I don’t know what that plan is yet but I’m putting all of my faith and trust in him because he surely has blessed me so far. I mean, there’s a vast majority of people that doesn’t have a great family and doesn’t get a great education with a steady job. I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for him. For me, there’s a definite sense of comfort and peace knowing that God is watching over me. Although I don’t agree with stuff that happens in my life, I know that everything happens for a reason. I could go on and on about this but that’s just a quick snapshot on my views on my religion.
