I actually wrote a post on this particular subject last month but I wrote about how to find the time to read books. Reading was something I had to grow into. I only read during book worm time at school and never found it as a hobby. Fast forward to today and I think reading should be an activity we should all be a part of.
If you’ve read any of my other posts before, I’m an avid Harry Potter fan. Pretty much any of the books I could read over and over again and never get sick of. I know I’ve read the 4th, 6th, and 7th book 2 times. Books 1 and 2 I’ve read 3 times. It just never gets old for me. J.K. Rowling established a phenomena that will never die and will always be around. I have no doubt that kids and adults in 2030 will still be reading Harry Potter and not put it down. If you’re a Harry Potter fan, you understand. If you’re not, then there’s something wrong. It’s more than a book to be honest. While the quality of the story is great, there’s many themes that so many readers can relate to. Even though it’s in a world of creatures, potions and quidditch, the overall theme is that love conquers all. Rowling put that statement right out of the gate since the first book and kept that constant until the very end. If I had to pick just one of the Potter books that I could read over and over, it would probably be Deathly Hallows. Reading the grand finale of Harry’s adventure coming to an end and learning the truth behind the shady character, Severus Snape, was just so awesome to take in. Now, I just want to pick up a Harry Potter book and finish it tonight.
Thanks for reading!
