In last night’s Survivor reunion, we got to take a sneak peak for what’s in store next season! Game Changers!
Survivor’s 34th season will feature 20 returning players. These 20 players had major impact in the game of Survivor. As Zeke stated in his jury speech, the evolution of Survivor and its gameplay is always changing which require risky, hard moves. It’s an interesting theme to bring 20 players who have had an impact on Survivor and see if they will learn from their mistakes. 8 of the 20 castaways were revealed on last night’s reunion show. Let’s take a look and see who will be back!
Michaela; Millennials vs Gen X: I’m SO ecstatic that Michaela is coming back. Right before the merge, she proved she is a game changer. She’s very physical in challenges and she’s a very bright, intelligent person, which caused her downfall. In Millennials vs Gen X, she revealed way too much of her intellect to Jay and Will. This time around, she needs to focus on her social game and not be public enemy #1.
Caleb; Kaôh Rōng: The previous Big Brother star is back and I’m hoping his luck will turn for the better this time around. Caleb suffered probably the worst medical evacuation I’ve ever seen on Survivor. Caleb only lasted 9 days but during the reward challenge, Caleb suffered from heat stroke and exhaustion and was pulled from the game. He was very likeable on his tribe back in Kaôh Rōng but I hope to see him make the merge and see what he can do to win.
Ozzy; Cook Islands: Probably on my top 5 favorite survivors, Ozzy is coming back for is 4th time around! He is definitely a game changer in my book. In cook islands, he won the majority of immunity challenges but lost by 1 vote to the master mind, Yul Kwon. In Fans vs Favorites, he was sent home with an immunity idol in his pocket thanks to Parvarti, who schemed a perfect blindside. In South Pacific, he chose to go to Redemption Island for his tribe, forcing him to beat everyone that came to Redemption. He eventually came back into the game but was sent home packing a few days later. I love Ozzy because I love seeing him dominate the physical challenges but it’s the social and strategic element he’s lacking. Hopefully the 4th time is the charm. I want him to win the game.
Ciera Eastin; Blood vs Water: This will be Ciera’s 3rd time on the show. She first played in Blood vs Water where she played against her mom, who played on the Samoa season. She came back for a 2nd time on Second Chance season. Ciera is a very cunning, methodical player. In her 1st season, she voted out her own mother! Talk about cold. To vote out your own Mother in a cut-throat game of survivor is definitely game changing. I’m predicting that right off the bat, Ciera will be a dangerous threat.
Tony Vlachos; Cagayan: Winner of his season of Brawn vs Brains vs Beauty, Tony Vlachos seeks to do it again on his 2nd go around. During his time on Survivor, Tony played an aggressive game. He betrayed multiple times and created a few blindsides. In the final 3, Woo had the easy choice to vote out Tony over Kass for an easy win. However, Tony came to Woo that his honor, loyalty and integrity would be questioned if he didn’t take Tony to the finals. Woo ended up taking Tony to the end and gave Tony a million dollars. This season on Game Changers, Tony will immediately have a target on his back for already winning the game. Let’s see if he can work any of the people there.
Cirie Fields; Panama: Miss Cirie Fields is coming back for her 4th time on the show as well! Ever since she was introduced back in Panama, she has been a favorite of mine! She was the original couch potato to survivor. She was the stay at home mom and eventually came onto the show proving her worth. During the fans vs favorites season, she definitely changed the game when she convinced Erik to give up his immunity allowing the all female alliance to vote him out. On the Heroes vs Villains season, she was quickly voted out due to her reputation on previous seasons. Let’s see if her old-school play of Survivor will fit with the new generation play of Survivor!
Tai Trang; Kaoh Rong: Tai is coming back for his 2nd season. During his time on Kaoh Rong, Tai played an erratic game of Survivor. He betrayed multiple alliances and of course was perceived as the villain. I hope we see more of the chicken-loving side of Tai instead of the consistent bragging and fight for power kind of Tai. He needs to let the game come to him instead of him going after it so much.
Sandra Diaz Twine; Pearl Islands: The only player who has never been voted out and won the game twice is coming back for a 3-peat! Even though she’s not a dangerous person in the game, she did what she had to make sure she wasn’t the bad guy. In her first season, Lillian (like Woo) mistakingly brought Sandra to the final 2 instead of Bobby Jon. With Bobby Jon sitting next to her, Lil could’ve easily won but she played with emotion allowing Sandra to sit next to her and gave her the title of Sole Survivor. In Heroes vs Villains, she stayed loyal to her tribe of villains. However, she did want to take Russell out but couldn’t because none of the hero members wanted to listen. Rusell’s aggressive, evil play didn’t sit well with the juryand voted Sandra to win the 2nd time. I’m sure all the players will be gunning for her next season. I won’t be surprised if she’s the first person voted out.
Should be an exciting season to look forward to!
